How to wash your face properly

Washing your face properly can help your skin. It can help to remove build-up, boost hydration, and help maintain clear skin. However, most people are incorrectly washing their faces, which may do more harm than good. So, to ensure that your face is properly taken care of, follow the next few steps.

Wash your hands

First, make sure your hands are clean. Most people have pimples because they touch their faces with their dirty hands. Touching your face with unclean hands causes breakouts and clogged pores as you are spreading oil, dirt, and bacteria from your hands to your face.

Use a foam cleaner

Second, make sure you are using a foam cleaner. A foam cleanser is better at penetrating your skin and can clean it more effectively. The foaming particles help lift dirt and debris out from the deeper parts of your pores. Other types of cleanser may not be able to wash away the oils and dirt on your face, and it may even clog your pore, which causes pimples.

Use warm water

Before applying the foam cleanser onto your face, use warm water to splash your face. Warm water is best to wash your face as hot water can strip your skin of its natural oils, and cold water does not allow the pores to open for a good cleansing. After splashing your face with warm water, gently put the foam on your face. Make sure to put enough foam on your skin that it is separating your face from your hands. Make sure that it is your cleanser that is cleansing your face and not your hands.

Apply the foam on your t-zone—forehead, nose, and chin, plus any part of your skin which is extra oily.
